Hilarious Kirk Herbstreit, NBA Finals Photo Goes Viral - But It's Not Real

ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit was at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night to watch Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs.

Although the Spurs jumped out to a 29-point lead in Game 4, they were unable to slow down OG Anunoby, Jalen Brunson and the Knicks in the second half. Anunoby made the go-ahead basket for the Knicks with 1.2 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The Spurs had a chance to hit a game-winner, but Karl-Anthony Towns deflected the inbounds pass to Stephon Castle.

"You have to have a little luck in life," Knicks coach Mike Brown said. "You've got to have a little luck in sports. But you can also make your luck too. So you've got to have some natural luck and some luck where you're going to make your own luck, and that was probably the biggest message."

Herbstreit had a blast watching the Knicks' epic comeback, make no mistake about it. NBA fans, however, couldn't help but poke fun at his appearance.

A social media user photoshopped Herbstreit's famous Golden Retriever, Peter, into a photo of him standing next to Brunson on the court.

This viral photo included this hilarious caption: "They just let him bring his dog anywhere?"

An experience Kirk Herbstreit will never forget.

Luckily for Knicks fans, Herbstreit captured an incredible video of Anunoby's game-winning shot in the fourth quarter.

"Incredible experience just being a fan at Game 4 at MSG! This is why we love sports-Here was my angle for the game winner… @nyknicks down 29 and just kept choppin wood to give themselves a chance at the end-and won it with poise and determination," Herbstreit wrote. "Appreciate Mark Shapiro for the invite to witness it in person. Nothin better."

The NBA Finals will resume on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
