OG Anunoby's First Message After Spurs-Knicks Game 4
The New York Knicks are one win away from ending a 53-year championship drought, and OG Anunoby delivered the biggest play of their season to get them there.
With the score tied at 106 in the closing seconds of Game 4, Jalen Brunson drove to the basket and launched a contested attempt that bounced off the rim. Anunoby crashed the glass, secured the offensive rebound, and calmly put the ball back in as the shot clock expired. The decisive points gave the New York a dramatic 107-106 victory over the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden and a commanding 3-1 lead in the NBA finals.
The game-winning basket capped one of the best performances of Anunoby's career. He finished with 33 points on 10-of-15 shooting, knocked down seven of his nine three-point attempts, and went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Long before the final possession, he had been the Knicks' most reliable offensive weapon.
After the game, Anunoby was asked about the clutch play and how he was able to execute it.
"Do whatever it takes to win," he said. "I just tried to make a play."

Brunson was equally instrumental, finishing with 36 points, seven assists, and three steals while shooting 12-of-25 from the field. Time and again, he delivered when New York needed a basket as the Knicks chipped away at a sizable deficit.
San Antonio appeared in complete control for much of the night. Victor Wembanyama posted 24 points and 13 rebounds, while De'Aaron Fox added 18 points and seven assists. The Spurs carried a 19-point lead into halftime and led by as many as 29 points before watching their advantage disappear as New York dominated the second half, outscoring San Antonio 58-30 over the final two quarters.
The series now shifts back to Frost Bank Center for Game 5. The Spurs will try to extend the Finals on their home floor, while the Knicks enter with an opportunity to capture the franchise's first championship since 1973.
