AppleSox sweep NorthPaws in home-opening series

The Wenatchee AppleSox celebrated their home opener with a three-game sweep of the Kamloops NorthPaws at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.

The AppleSox opened the series Friday with a 9-8 victory before clinching the series Saturday with an 8-7 win. Wenatchee completed the sweep Sunday with a 4-0 shutout victory.

Fans also enjoyed several promotional events throughout opening weekend.

Opening Day featured Bark in the Park Night, presented by Earthwise. The following day was Kids Day at the Ballpark, which included free face painting and family activities.

The weekend concluded with Turn Back the Clock Night, presented by the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center. The AppleSox wore special jerseys honoring the history of the franchise.
