Bears QB Caleb Williams Receives Major NFLPA Announcement Before 2026 Season

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams continues to establish himself as one of the NFL's most recognizable young stars.

The NFL Players Association released its annual Year-End Top 50 Player Sales List this week, and Williams earned a spot inside the top 10, finishing No. 8 overall among all NFL players in officially licensed merchandise sales.

The ranking shows a massive rise for the Bears quarterback as his popularity continues to grow across the league.

The NFLPA's sales rankings track purchases of officially licensed merchandise between March 2025 and February 2026. Those sales include jerseys, apparel, collectibles, bobbleheads, wall decals, backpacks and numerous other retail products sold through official NFLPA partners.

Williams improved significantly from last year's rankings, climbing from No. 13 to No. 8 overall.

According to Front Office Sports, Williams was one of the NFL's strongest sellers during the final quarter of the season. His late-season surge helped push him into the top 10 and reportedly played a role in his selection as the cover athlete for the newest Madden NFL video game.

The timing is notable for Chicago.

Williams helped guide the Bears to their first playoff victory since 2010, generating renewed excitement around one of the NFL's most passionate fan bases. That success translated directly into merchandise sales as fans invested heavily in products featuring the former No. 1 overall draft pick.

The Excitement is Real in Chicago

The NFLPA also highlighted Williams as one of the league's strongest apparel sellers. Merchandise featuring the Bears quarterback ranked among the top-selling products across multiple retail categories.

For a franchise searching for sustained success at the quarterback position, Williams has quickly become both a football centerpiece and a marketing powerhouse.

League executives believe his popularity could continue climbing. In fact, NFLPA officials told Front Office Sports that Williams could potentially challenge for the top overall spot in future player sales rankings.

What's in Store for Williams in 2026?

With another season approaching, the latest NFLPA announcement offers further evidence that Williams' star power is only continuing to grow.

The Bears may have found much more than a quarterback. They may have found one of the NFL's next defining faces.
