So much for a New York Knicks sweep in the NBA Finals. The San Antonio Spurs snapped New York's 13-game winning streak during the NBA playoffs Monday night with a massive Game 3 victory at Madison Square Garden. After the Knicks won the first two games of this best-of-seven finals on the road, the Spurs' 115-111 win gives them a chance to tie this series when they meet Wednesday night in Game 4 (8:30 p.m. ET, ABC).
Victor Wembanyama set the tone with physical play, and he led the way with 32 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Jalen Brunson had 32 points for the Knicks, but the Spurs were too much in the second half. Win or lose Wednesday night, the Spurs will get at least one more home game with Game 5 Saturday in San Antonio. Will that be an elimination game for the Spurs, or will it be a new series at that point?
