Final Injury Report for Mercury-Valkyries: Will Alyssa Thomas, Kahleah Copper Play

The Phoenix Mercury are on the road Tuesday night as they travel to take on the Golden State Valkyries in a Western Conference matchup as part of the WNBA Commissioner's Cup.

Phoenix enters Tuesday's game with a 4-8 record after defeating the Portland Fire on the road Friday night.

In Friday's victory over the Fire, DeWanna Bonner led the way for the Mercury as she recorded 19 points, five rebounds, five assists and three blocks while Natasha Mack added 16 points and four rebounds of her own.

The Mercury will try to grab another victory Tuesday as they face off against the Valkyries in a tough road matchup.

Golden State enters Tuesday's contest with a 6-5 record after losing on the road to the Las Vegas Aces Sunday afternoon.

Gabby Williams led the way for the Valkyries in Sunday's loss as she ended the game with 27 points and six rebounds while Veronica Burton recorded 15 points, five rebounds and three assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Tuesday night's matchup, one may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Phoenix has listed Thomas as probable and she is expected to return after missing Friday's victory due to a left calf injury.

The Mercury have listed Copper as questionable due to a left hip injury and she is in danger of missing her second consecutive contest.

Sami Whitcomb has been ruled out as she remains sidelined to begin the season while recovering from left knee surgery.

The Valkyries have only one player listed on their injury report as they have ruled out Iliana Rupert.
