Raptors Recap (June 7): Ridgefield 7, Port Angeles 4

Highlights ­- The Raptors concluded the first road trip of the season with a three-game sweep of Port Angeles. Ridgefield outscored the Lefties 23-7 during the series and has now won four of its last five games.

At the plate - Ridgefield DH Cade Ladehoff (Michigan) went 2 for 4 with a home run, a solo shot that gave the Raptors a 5-3 lead in the fifth inning. ... RF Gavin Poffenroth (Skagit Valley, Skyview HS) went 3 for 4 with an RBI single that kick-started Ridgefield's three-run second inning.

On the mound - Declan Francis (Western Kentucky) pitched four scoreless innings to earn the save in his season debut. He had five strikeouts, allowing two hits and no walks.... Ridgefield starter Justin Brown (Michigan) pitched five innings, leaving with the Raptors ahead 5-4. He had two strikeouts, allowing six hits and no walks.

Next up - The Raptors (6-3) start a three-game series against the Yakima Valley Pippins on Tuesday at Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex. First pitch is 6:35 p.m. It's the season's second $3 Tuesdays promotion, which features grass berm tickets, hot dogs, nachos, domestic canned beer and bottled soda all on sale for $3.
