Caitlin Clark 'Snubs' Teammate In Awkward Indiana Fever Moment
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever suffered a devastating loss on Saturday night, while the former No. 1 overall pick has been accused of "snubbing" one of her teammates.
The former Iowa Hawkeyes star appeared to have no time for a high-five with one of her teammates on the Indiana Fever bench, late in Saturday night's game against the New York Liberty. The Fever were trailing the Liberty, 76-70, with about a minute to play. Clark and the Fever were coming out of a timeout, when one of her teammates on the bench attempted to give her a high-five.
But there appeared to be a snubbing.
"Yikes on bikes 😬," one fan noted.
Video of the snubbing already has one million views. And they are adding up in a hurry on social media.
WNBA fans react to the snubbing online
As the Fever dropped to 5-5 on the season with Saturday night's loss to the Liberty, fans spoke out on the "snubbing."
Some find it a bad look, while others think it's an exaggeration.
"It's time too move on they where so much better when she wasn't playing last season, she thinks she's bigger than the program get her on a team that has no problem dealing with this type of behavior from their star player that's not playing well," one fan wrote.
"I'm not one to overdo these things, but it looked bad. I imagine it's nothing & it could also be the angle & she didn't see but it looked bad. Doesn't mean it's that deep, but it looked bad. And she played poorly, which is probably why she's (expletive) off." one fan added.
"Her attitude is why she'll never be a champ. Her poor defense, floppin, lack of athleticism, turnover, low fg%, not coach able, poor team mate, no improvement over the past 3 years are all directly linked to her attitude. She lacks the discipline of a winner," one fan added.
"I've tried to be reasonable because I don't know her personally, but this girl has the attitude of a 5 year old spoiled brat. The behavior is actually weird as hell," one fan added.
"There's no way to twist it: she's a bad teammate. And her play doesn't even match the attitude. Inefficient, overhyped turnover machine," one fan added.
"Team and coach doesn't appreciate her. First chance she gets she's bolting to another team, and I can't say I blame her," one fan added.
