Why Is Mohamed Salah Not Playing Tonight for Egypt vs Brazil?
Egypt has arrived in the United States, and their final friendly match before the World Cup will be against Brazil in Cleveland, Ohio.
Brazil and Egypt will play at Huntington Bank Field, following both teams playing one last friendly match in their respective home countries before the World Cup.
Both teams fielded strong lineups, with Brazil starting star players like Vinicius Junior and Raphinha, while Egypt started Omar Marmoush but not their legendary player, Mohamed Salah.
Salah is at Huntington Bank Field with Egypt, but he is absent from the starting lineup for two games in a row after missing the previous friendly match against Russia.
Is Mohamed Salah Injured?
Mohamed Salah is not injured, and the Egyptian forward is on the bench for Egypt against Brazil. Salah was not in the squad for the previous match against Russia, where Egypt won 1-0.
Salah arrived at the Egypt World Cup camp later than other players, which caused him to miss the previous match.
Salah could potentially play a couple of minutes against Brazil in the second half. Egypt's World Cup opener will be on June 15 against Belgium at Seattle Stadium.
