Belmont Stakes 2026: Live Stream, TV Channel, Start Time and How to Watch
The 2026 Belmont Stakes is set to close the Triple Crown season on Saturday, and even without a Triple Crown bid on the line, there is still plenty of reason to tune in.
This year's race will once again be held at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York, as Belmont Park continues its rebuild. It is the third and final year Saratoga is hosting the race during the renovation period, giving the event a different setting before it eventually returns to its traditional home.
The main event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, with an expected post time of 7:04 p.m. ET. As always with horse racing, that time can shift slightly depending on how the card moves throughout the day.
Fans can watch the race on Fox, with additional coverage available across FS1 and FS2. For those without cable, the Belmont Stakes can also be streamed through Fubo, which offers a free trial for new users. That makes it one of the easier ways to watch the race live online without a traditional TV package.
The biggest name in the field is Golden Tempo, the Kentucky Derby winner who skipped the Preakness Stakes so trainer Cherie DeVaux could give him extra rest before the Belmont. His return gives the race a strong headline, even though the Triple Crown is no longer possible.
He will not have an easy path, though. Renegade enters as one of the top contenders, while Chief Wallabee, Commandment, and Emerging Market are also expected to draw plenty of attention. All four are viewed as serious threats, with odds short enough to suggest this race is far from a one-horse story.
Golden Tempo will start from post No. 9 with Jose Ortiz aboard, while Renegade breaks from post No. 4 with Irad Ortiz Jr. riding. That adds another interesting layer, with the Ortiz brothers once again involved in the biggest storylines.
With Derby revenge angles, live contenders, and streaming options available for cord-cutters, this year's Belmont Stakes has all the ingredients for a strong Triple Crown finale.
