Knicks Star Josh Hart Not Afraid To Share Opinion Of President Trump

The New York Knicks might welcome President Donald Trump to Madison Square Garden for the NBA Finals, but make no mistake, Josh Hart has no interest in linking up with the Commander-in-Chief.

Trump, a Queens native, told reporters that he had plans to attend Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. His plans changed since the Knicks swept the Cleveland Cavaliers. That being said, he plans on visiting MSG during the NBA Finals.

"I was invited – I was going to go on Wednesday, but they closed it out very quickly," Trump said. "Jim Dolan, as you know owns and is in charge of Madison Square Garden, is having a great year. What a team! I think I'll be going to one of their games."

The president of the United States has made it known that he's rooting for the Knicks to win their first championship since 1973. Hart, however, may not want Trump's support.

Josh Hart won't shy away from criticizing the president.

Back in 2018, Trump mocked LeBron James for conducting an interview with former CNN host Don Lemon. His comments about the four-time NBA champion didn't sit well with Hart.

"It's just childish. That's someone (James) who literally just opened a school in this past week helping kids from the inner city, kids who don't have parents in their lives and that kind of thing," Hart said, via Silver Screen and Roll. "Someone who's a role model obviously for young African Americans. So to see that, it's childish and it's a shame that that's our president, but hopefully he'll be better. But it's childish."

In November 2020, Hart celebrated Trump losing the presidential election to Joe Biden.

"YESSIR!!!! GET TRUMP'S [EXPLETIVE] OUT THE WHITE HOUSE," the NBA veteran wrote on social media.

Hart hasn't said anything about Trump during the Knicks' playoff run. He might be asked about the president in the coming days though.
