Did Chloe Kim Play a Role in Myles Garrett's Trade to Rams?
One of the most stunning trades in NFL history saw Myles Garrett land with the Los Angeles Rams. Fans believe girlfriend Chloe Kim was part of the equation.
The Rams acquired Garrett from the Cleveland Browns in a blockbuster deal on Monday. In return, the Browns received Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick and a 2029 third-round pick.
Off the field, Garrett has been dating Kim since 2025. The Torrance, California, native is a two-time Olympic gold medalist in the halfpipe. Together, they represent one of sport's most compelling power couples.
Fans wasted no time sparking a conversation online. Many pointed to Kim's West Coast roots as a driving force behind the move.
The Browns had no intention of trading Garrett after his $160 million extension last offseason.
Garrett had been a model franchise player in Cleveland. His formal trade request stunned the organization, with Garrett citing a championship pursuit as his motivation.
After eight seasons, Garrett leaves Cleveland with 412 tackles, 125.5 sacks, 23 forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries. He earned seven Pro Bowl selections and seven AP All-Pro nods with the Browns.
Garrett now joins a stacked Rams roster under head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Matthew Stafford. Los Angeles shifted from a Super Bowl contender to the outright favorite following the deal.
The move places Garrett in Kim's backyard, amplifying the couple's already massive profile. The two went public in May 2025 at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Japan.
In February, Garrett traveled to Livigno, Italy, to watch Kim compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics. He wore a jacket with her face on it to the halfpipe final.
Now, Kim no longer has far to travel to watch Garrett play at SoFi Stadium in 2026. However, whether or not she really played a role in Garrett's move to L.A. remains to be seen.
