Steph Curry Announces New Shoe Deal Following Under Armour Exit
Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry announced the beginning of a new endorsement chapter on Monday, revealing his partnership with Chinese shoe company Li-Ning.
This decision marks the end of a drawn-out free-agent process following Curry’s decision to part ways with Under Armour after a 13-year partnership this past November.
“The next stage is set,” Curry said in his announcement on social media. “This is bigger than a show deal, bigger than a signature series. This is the partnership of a lifetime. The future of Curry Brand powered by a company truly rooted in sports and innovation. A partner dedicated to creating quality products, with sneakers that I believe in, that will continue to deliver at the highest level.
“The future of Curry Brand is with Li-Ning.”

Curry’s deal with Li-Ning will span the next 10 years, according to reports from ESPN. The four-time NBA champion chose the Chinese sports apparel giant over pitches from other foreign and American companies, in part because of the comfort while testing Li-Ning shoes.
“The agreement will include basketball products, athleisure lifestyle wear, the ability for Curry to sign male and female athletes under his brand, and a full golf line,” ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Monday.

Li-Ning already boasts some prominent NBA signature athletes, including Curry’s Golden State teammate Jimmy Butler and retired NBA superstar Dwyane Wade.
