NBC Announces Impressive Thunder-Spurs WCF Viewership Numbers
The San Antonio Spurs entered Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals with their backs against the wall, trailing the reigning NBA-champion Oklahoma City Thunder 3-2 in the series.
However, the Spurs responded in a big way on their home court - notching a dominant 118-91 victory over the Thunder at San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center. Victor Wembanyama led the way with 28 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks as the Spurs forced a Game 7 back in Oklahoma City.
This Game 6 matchup drew some impressive TV viewership numbers on NBC/Peacock, according to an announcement from the network on Monday.
With 11.6 million total viewers, Game 6 was the most-watched game of the 2025-26 NBA season and the most-watched conference finals Game 6 since 2002.

NBC has yet to release its viewership numbers for Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, which likely drew similarly impressive statistics.
The Spurs notched a thrilling 111-103 victory over the Thunder in Game 7, securing their spot in the 2026 NBA Finals against the New York Knicks. Wembanyama led the way for San Antonio with 22 points and seven rebounds, while reigning back-to-back league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a game-high 35 points to go along with his nine assists.

The NBA Finals will be broadcast exclusively on ESPN/ABC, starting with Game 1 on Wednesday night.
