Eagles, Patriots Agree To A.J. Brown Trade

A.J. Brown is out in Philadelphia.

The Eagles and the Patriots have officially agreed to a trade involving the Pro Bowl wide receiver. Trade rumors for Brown and the Patriots have persisted for months. Many believed that it would ultimately happen at the start of June.

And, now it has.

The Patriots and the Eagles have officially agreed to a trade on Monday afternoon, June 1, as the new month begins.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter broke the big news.

"ESPN sources: The Eagles are trading Pro-Bowl WR A.J. Brown to the Patriots for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick that is the better of New England's two fifths. The deal that has been speculated on for weeks now finally is happening. Brown and Patriots HC Mike Vrabel are reuniting," he reported on Monday.

The Patriots are very excited

New England is very excited, to say the least. Brown is reuniting with his former coach, Mike Vrabel, who coached him in Tennessee.

The Patriots now have a No. 1 wide receiver and go-to weapon for third-year quarterback Drake Maye.

The Patriots are coming off a blowout loss to the Seahawks in Super Bowl 60. They lacked weapons on offense last year and now have a go-to wide receiver in Brown.

The trade is expected to be made official later on Monday.
