Danica Patrick Takes Public Shot At Those Who Oppose Her Politically

Danica Patrick continues to stay involved with the racing world, as she just covered the Indy 500 for Fox Sports. The former racing star, who retired in 2018, continues to cover NASCAR as well. She previously covered Formula 1 for Sky Sports.

But Patrick has a new passion, as well: politics.

Patrick, who voted for the first time in November 2024, admitted that she underwent a change politically in recent years. She decided to switch sides, essentially. Patrick admitted to being "red pilled."

Patrick went from being left leaning or an independent to a full-blown conservative. It felt like a calling to her.

"It felt like a calling. I'd love to hear some of your perspective on how it all feels because it's been a tidal wave of change in what you do and how people see you. Standing up for something is a powerful thing because it's when you're in your truth," Patrick said. "When you're in your truth, you're quite magnetic. It gains momentum really fast, because when we're doing what's meant for us, the universe just lines things up for us. It went really quickly for me. It was a little over a year ago that I went to my first ever political event, which was AmFest here in Phoenix.

"I didn't know who Charlie Kirk was. I never paid attention to politics and quite specially have been avoiding the news since 2018. I just watched YouTube and spiritual information, but not the news. After going to that event, I posted some photos of my sister and I. It [her post] said, ‘I love this country.' That was a divisive comment to so many, which was ridiculous. I then met Tucker Carlson and went on his show in the beginning of January. I came back from Florida and Charlie reached out to go on his show. I was like, ‘Well, I guess I'm in politics now.'"

Patrick is taking shots at the left on social media

Patrick, who has one million followers on Instagram, is now taking shots at those who oppose her politically.

She shared a taunting of the left to her Instagram Story on Sunday night, sharing a video in which a conservative man attends a left-leaning rally, asking women what rights men have that females do not. The people in the video could not answer the question.

The video, shared by Patrick, has close to 200,000 likes on Instagram.

Patrick, meanwhile, has more time for politics these days. She was ousted by Sky Sports prior to the 2026 Formula 1 season.

"From my first Sky Sports F1 race in Austin to my last 5 years later… I had such a blast! The Sky team was so much fun (thank you all), I saw so many amazing new race tracks and cities, and got to be part of a huge boom in F1!

"I called after the last race in 2025 and said it was time for me to move on and I was so grateful for the opportunity and experience I was given!

"….and now due to my deep exposure to F1, I will be glued to my TV for the season starting this weekend, like every other fan!"

Patrick has more time for political comments on social media as a result.
