Drake Maye's Wife Speaks Out Amid Crazy Offseason in New England
It's been a whirlwind type of offseason in New England.
The Patriots ended the year with a Super Bowl 60 loss to Seattle. A couple of months after that Super Bowl loss, the team's head coach, Mike Vrabel, became embroiled in controversy. He was caught in several private moments with former NFL insider Dianna Russini, who resigned from The Athletic amid scandal.
Vrabel ultimately apologized for his behavior, though he took some time away from the team during the NFL Draft. He's since returned, but he admitted that he doesn't know if there won't be any more personal absences moving forward.
The Patriots and their players, meanwhile, have had to answer for their head coach. But they say they remain focused on football.
"Coach coaches football and he keeps the main thing, the main thing," linebacker Robert Spillane said. "I know he's dealing with personal issues, but when we're in the building, we speak football."
Hunter Henry, meanwhile, said the same.
"Obviously I know you guys want to hear about everything that's going on," Henry said. "To be honest with you, I'm focused on what we got going on right now in this building, with this team. Obviously had a long season last year, quick turnaround into the offseason, we're in a new building. And every year is a new year, so we're trying to build this team, we're trying to come together, so I'm just focused on the guys in this locker room, and trying to build it from the ground up again. We have a long journey ahead of us; we have to start somewhere, so we're starting right now."
On Sunday, Maye's wife, Anne Michael, addressed the media.

Maye's wife admitted that everything has been a "whirlwind" lately, but she's very appreciative of how everyone in New England is welcoming her and her family.
"I feel like everything happened so, so fast here," she said at her husband's charity event.
"We've grown to love this place in a short amount of time."
Year 3 in New England is a big one for Maye. Hopefully, they'll be able to avoid any further distractions.
