Analysis:

It's safe to call the 2026 season a franchise-defining one for the Eagles.

Despite being just two years removed from a Super Bowl championship, Philadelphia has dealt with more internal turmoil than arguably any other team in the league.

There was rumored tension between quarterback Jalen Hurts and former offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, which led to the latter's firing early in the offseason.

There's also reported bad blood between Hurts and star WR A.J. Brown, who's rumored to be on his way out after June 1, and there's also rumored division between Hurts and the rest of the Eagles locker room for his conservative play style last year, which led to the team's offense being put under a microscope seemingly every week.

Hurts is also believed to be on the hot seat, and if the team struggles like it did a year ago, or Hurts himself personally struggles to put up numbers, he too could be on his way out next offseason in a move that would shake up the Eagles franchise.

But focusing on the positive: the Eagles revamped the weapons around Hurts in anticipation of losing Brown. They used their first-round pick on USC wideout Makai Lemon, they traded for former Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks, and they signed Marquise "Hollywood" Brown and Elijah Moore in free agency. They also drafted Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers, who should be a significant factor in the pass game as a rookie.

Philly also filled a few holes on defense in adding edge-rushers Jonathan Greenard, Arnold Ebiketie, and Joe Tryon, plus cornerbacks Tariq Woolen and Jonathan Jones.

Many expect this Eagles team to be right back in the NFC East hunt next year, and aside from a monumental implosion inside the locker room, there's no reason to believe otherwise.

An 11- or 12-win season, a division championship, and a top-three seed in the NFC is all within reach for the Eagles if they can stay out of their own way.
