Forza Horizon 6 Patch Notes Address Performance and Progression Updates
Forza Horizon 6 has been on a roll since its global launch on May 19. Critics and fans alike have praised the open-world racer's Japan setting, progression system and presentation, helping push the game to a strong 91 rating on Metacritic.
As players continue tearing through the streets, mountain roads and neon-lit cities of Japan, Playground Games has already rolled out multiple post-launch updates aimed at improving stability and squashing early issues reported by the community.
The newest update, Series 1 Hotfix 2, focuses on performance, progression and PC audio optimization.

General
- Performance and stability fixes
Collection Journal
- Fixed an issue where the Photography Section of Discover Japan could not be completed
- The issue prevented some players from reaching the Master Explorer milestone

Audio (PC)
- Additional optimizations were applied to PC audio performance
- Adjustments were made to the ‘Low' and ‘Very Low' audio quality settings
- Developers recommend using those settings if players experience audio crackling issues

What Playground Games Rolled Out on May 18
Before Hotfix 2 arrived, Playground Games deployed Series 1 Hotfix 1 on May 18 targeting several launch-week technical problems.

- Improvements targeting Profile Loading errors during game startup
- Developers noted investigations into those issues are still ongoing
Multiplayer
- Fixed an issue where accepting an Xbox App invite could close the game
Steam Controller
- Fixed a crash tied to Steam Controller usage
