Caitlin Clark Makes Decision Before Golden State Valkyries Game
Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever is having a strong start to her third WNBA season. Clark is third in the league in scoring (23.8 points per game) and leads in assists (9.0). The former Iowa Hawkeyes standout is averaging career highs in 3-point percentage (34.8%), field-goal percentage (43.2%) and free-throw percentage (96.4%).
Clark is a regular in headlines, with the past week being no different. Clark was controversially taken out of the starting lineup 100 minutes before game time in the May 20, 90-73 victory over the Portland Fire, with the WNBA issuing a warning for the late scratch. On Sunday, the Dowling Catholic High School graduate was the official grand marshal for the 110th Indianapolis 500.
Clark was back in the news Wednesday, this time for attending the San Francisco Giants game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. MLB went to social media to announce that Clark was in attendance at Oracle Park, posting a video of the WNBA star on X.
In the post, Clark is seen wearing a Giants hat and chatting with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffrey, who was also sporting a Giants hat. A graphic highlighted Clark's career stats, showing her minutes per game (34.1), points (19.0), assists (8.6) and rebounds (5.4). The TV broadcast team reveled in the news, commenting on her attendance.

Indiana's next game is against the Golden State Valkyries on Thursday at Chase Center, with tipoff set for 10 p.m. ET.
