Taylor Fritz Is Single Heading Into The 2026 French Open

The 2026 French Open is underway on Sunday morning.

Taylor Fritz, one of the top-ranked American men at the second Grand Slam of the year, is currently in a tight battle. The No. 7 seed is trailing a fellow American, Nishesh Basavareddy, one set to nothing. They're currently in a heated tiebreaker, as well.

It's an interesting time for Fritz, who has made some deep runs at Grand Slams in the past, including Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.

Fritz heads into the 2026 French Open as a single man.

Fritz and his longtime girlfriend, influencer Morgan Riddle, called it quits, PEOPLE confirmed.

"Taylor Fritz and Morgan Riddle have called it quits, PEOPLE can exclusively confirm. After nearly six years together, Riddle ended the relationship with the tennis star, a source tells PEOPLE on Saturday, April 25. A different source tells PEOPLE, however, that the split was mutual. PEOPLE has reached out to reps for Fritz and Riddle for comment," the report states.

Fritz and Riddle had been dating for six years.

Riddle became a major influencer in tennis

Riddle posted a lot of tennis content throughout their relationship, including videos on how to make tennis "cool" again.

"I think what she did was awesome for our sport. It got a ton of people looking at it. I think you get your typical older fan who may be upset about it," Fritz said.

Fritz added: "I don't understand how anyone can get upset about it. I'm the one that's a professional tennis player, I'm the one that does this for a living. I 100 percent agree with everything in that video."

Riddle, meanwhile, appreciated the support.

"I think that he appreciates that we both have this collective goal of bringing it to a younger crowd. He does his part of it and I do mine," she said. "I remember when him and I first met within the first week or two, one of the things that he told me is I just want tennis to be cooler in our generation. It's just not."

But now, they are living separate lives.
