Caitlin Clark Comments on Exciting Off-Court Announcement

Earlier this week, Caitlin Clark publicly announced the upcoming release of her first children's book.

The picture book, which is targeted toward children ages four through eight, is titled “EXTRAordinary! A Little EXTRA to Reach BIG Dreams.” Clark is listed as the author, while Adriana Predoi served as the illustrator.

"In this thoughtful rhyming picture book, Caitlin Clark shares a personal message about the foundation of her success on and off the basketball court: that love and joy matter most," the book's description reads. "Because what's truly important in life - what deserves our EXTRA time and EXTRA attention - are the people surrounding us."

Ahead of the Fever's matchup against the Golden State Valkyries on Friday night, Caitlin Clark was asked about what it meant to write her first-ever book.

"Yeah, it was fun to write," Clark said. "You can buy the book and you'll understand there's a true meaning behind it, of this mirror that I grew up with in my childhood bedroom and my parents still have.”

"It's really cool, really personal, and I think it turned out really well and something that I'm super proud of,” she added.

The book is scheduled to hit bookstores across the United States on Nov. 3 and is listed at 32 pages.

"Complete with vibrant illustrations and a beautiful message for readers of all ages, EXTRAordinary is a heartwarming reminder to cherish the ones we love," the description adds. "Our friends, family, teammates, and neighbors help us believe in ourselves, and if we treasure the moments with them, our lives, too, will be wonderfully EXTRA."
