Alex Bregman Sends Pete Crow-Armstrong Clear Message After Cubs-Brewers Series
The Chicago Cubs are 29-21 after being swept in a three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers. Now in third place in the National League Central, they're on a five-game losing streak after two losses to the Chicago White Sox as well.
At the forefront of the Cubs' struggles against the Brewers was center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong. During the sweep, the 24-year-old had 11 at-bats, accumulating just one hit, one run scored and struck out six times.
Normally one of MLB's top defenders, he has several miscues on the field. Crow-Armstrong was responsible for two errors, one of which led to a three-run inside-the-park home run.
While he aims to bounce back in Chicago's upcoming three-game series against the Houston Astros, his teammates aren't losing faith. According to Marquee Sports Network's Bruce Levine, Cubs third basemanAlex Bregman offered Crow-Armstrong an encouraging message after being swept by the Brewers.
"I have gained a lot of respect for ( PCA) being around him and watching him go about his work," Bregman said. "I could care less about the results. I care how he goes about his business. He does it the right way."

Despite this being just his first season in Chicago, Bregman holds Crow-Armstrong in high regard. The center fielder earned the respect of many last season, earning an All-Star nod and winning a Gold Glove Award.
However, his struggles against the Brewers paint a picture of his performance for most of the season. In 50 games, he is slashing .225/.302/.357 with a .659 OPS. Crow-Armstrong is responsible for just 41 hits, five home runs, 20 RBIs and 26 runs scored in 182 at-bats.
With the support of his teammates, though, he attempts to turn things around with 112 games left in the season.
