Unfortunate Personal News Involving Alex Rodriguez Emerges Amid MLB Season

Alex Rodriguez has continued to stay active long after his playing days. The 50-year-old former New York Yankees infielder has pursued numerous endeavors since retiring in 2016.

He remains a studio analyst for Fox Sports, frequently appearing alongside Kevin Burkhardt, Derek Jeter and David Ortiz for postgame coverage of MLB's biggest events. He is one of the most well respected voices in the league for good reason. Across 22 seasons, he earned three MVP awards, 14 All-Star selections and one World Series title.

Rodriguez also frequently supported the Minnesota Timberwolves during their NBA playoffs run this year, sitting courtside and cheering them on as he co-owns the franchise. He also co owns the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA. Through it all, Rodriguez has often been seated at games with Jaclyn Cordeiro, a personal trainer who started dating Rodriguez in 2022.

Unfortunately for Rodriguez, she is now his ex-girlfriend. Cordeiro spoke with TMZ on Thursday and revealed that the two are no longer together after three years.

"To clarify, Alex and I are currently taking some time apart but there continues to be mutual love, care, and deep respect between us and for our families," Cordeiro said. "We remain supportive of one another, and there is absolutely no animosity, drama, or negative story here.

"Alex and I continue to be very close, and out of respect for everyone involved especially our daughters and loved ones I'd kindly ask that any reporting reflects the compassion and privacy this situation deserves," she continued.

Cordeiro also shared that a member of her family is dealing with a personal health issue that requires her full attention.

For Rodriguez, it marks another unexpected turn in a year filled with public commitments, business responsibilities and constant visibility, and he will now move forward while navigating a new chapter in his personal life.
