Anacortes American Girls Athlete of the Week: Emery Collier

Emery Collier helped the Anacortes High School softball team to a strong showing at the Northwest 2A District Tournament.

The sophomore catcher went 2-for-4 with three RBI in a Tuesday, May 12, game against Lakewood, and had a double later that day against Archbishop Murphy.

Collier's season also included going 3-for-4 on March 24 against Meridian, 2-for-3 with an RBI on May 1 against Blaine, 2-for-5 with two RBI on May 4 against Nooksack Valley and 2-for-4 on April 28 against Ferndale.

The Seahawks finished fourth in the seven-team district tournament, and wrapped up their season 11-12.
