F1 25 2026 Season Pack: Release Date, New Teams and Features
F1 fans waiting for the next wave of content finally got official confirmation from EA SPORTS. After months of speculation following the original November franchise announcement, EA SPORTS officially revealed that the ‘F1 25' 2026 Season Pack launches worldwide on June 3, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Rather than releasing a completely separate yearly installment, EA and Codemasters are expanding ‘F1 25' with a major premium update built around Formula 1's massive 2026 regulation overhaul.
The decision traces back to EA's November 2025 announcement, where the company confirmed ‘F1 25' would cover both the 2025 and 2026 FIA Formula One World Championships. EA described the move as part of a larger strategic reset for the franchise ahead of a fully reimagined entry planned for 2027.
Why It's a Season Pack Instead of ‘F1 26'
Instead of shipping a traditional annual release, EA opted for a paid expansion approach due to the scale of changes coming in 2026 and the long-term roadmap for the franchise.
According to EA SPORTS and Codemasters:
- ‘F1 25' will now represent both the 2025 and 2026 seasons
- The 2026 content acts as a premium expansion to the existing game
- A completely refreshed and redesigned F1 experience is planned for 2027
- The approach allows the development team to focus resources on the future overhaul while still delivering the new regulations, teams, and drivers for 2026
Players who already own ‘F1 25' can purchase the 2026 Season Pack, while newcomers can jump into the ‘F1 25: 2026 Season Edition,' which includes the base game and all 2026 content together.
New Teams Join the Grid
One of the biggest additions is the expansion of the Formula 1 grid to eleven teams.
New Teams Included
- Audi Revolut F1 Team
- Cadillac F1 Team
Audi officially takes over Sauber, bringing the legendary manufacturer fully into Formula 1, while Cadillac becomes the first major American car manufacturer to join the modern F1 grid.
Confirmed Driver Pairings
- Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hülkenberg - Audi
- Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez - Cadillac
- Arvid Lindblad joins Liam Lawson at Racing Bulls
- Isack Hadjar joins Max Verstappen at Red Bull Racing
MADRING Headlines the New Content
The 2026 Season Pack also introduces MADRING, Formula 1's first brand-new circuit since 2023.
MADRING Details
- Located in Madrid, Spain
- Hybrid street and purpose-built circuit
- 5.4 km layout
- 22 corners
- Exclusive to the 2026 cars and season content
EA says the circuit was specifically designed around the new era of Formula 1 machinery.
New Cars and Gameplay Features
The 2026 regulation changes dramatically alter how the cars drive in-game.
The new Active Aerodynamics system allows wings to adjust dynamically between straights and corners, while Overtake Mode introduces another layer of race strategy during battles.
Visual and Circuit Improvements
Alongside the 2026 season content, EA is continuing to spotlight several of ‘F1 25's broader visual and technical upgrades, including LIDAR-scanned circuits, reverse track layouts and PC-exclusive path tracing support.
With June 3 now officially confirmed, the 2026 Season Pack will introduce major changes to the EA SPORTS F1 franchise ahead of the larger overhaul planned for 2027.
