NBA Announces Two International Matchups Between Spurs, Pelicans in 2027

The 2026-27 NBA regular season will feature two international matchups between the San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans.

On Wednesday, the league announced that the Spurs and Pelicans will face off in both Paris and Manchester. The international games will take place on Jan. 14 and Jan. 17, respectivley.

“The NBA Paris Game 2027 presented by Tissot will mark the 16th game featuring an NBA team in France since 1991 and the league's sixth regular season game in Paris,” the NBA wrote in its announcement on social media. “The NBA Manchester Game 2027 will mark the 20th game featuring an NBA team in England since 1993, the league's second game in Manchester and first regular-season game in the city.”

The Spurs, led by French basketball superstar Victor Wembanyama, split a pair of regular-season Paris games with the Indiana Pacers in January 2025. Now, they’ll be back on the international stage in 2027.

“Always looking forward to expanding the game and being part of the cool process of being able to play outside the country,” Spurs coach Mitch Johnson said, via ESPN.

“We are grateful to be part of the NBA’s continued international growth efforts, and we are excited to help grow the game globally and connect with new generations of basketball fans,” Pelicans executive Joe Dumars added in a statement.

Wembanyama and the Spurs took down the reigning NBA-champion Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, winning with a 122-115 final score in double overtime.

Game 2 will tipoff at 8:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
