Derrick Henry Goes Viral For Simply Showing Up to Ravens' OTA - See Why
Baltimore Ravens All-Pro running back Derrick Henry is physically imposing, even when he’s just walking down a hill.
The Ravens posted a video on X of Henry, 32, sauntering toward the team’s voluntary OTA on Tuesday, and people lost their minds over his build.
“Derrick Henry looking like a SPECIMEN (no surprise),” the official “Bussin’ With The Boys” X account wrote.
Former NFL defensive back Will Blackmon wrote, “I know y’all gotta be tired of tackling this 3-technique.”
One Ravens fan wrote, “How’d he manage to get even stronger?”
Henry doesn’t just look like that because of genetic luck.
“Henry's financial adviser, Pete Kotos, estimates Henry spends $240,000 yearly on body maintenance, which includes employing a personal chef who prepares all of Henry's meals. Henry eats no fried foods, gluten, dairy or artificial sugars,” The Athletic’s Dan Pompei reported in July 2024, shortly after Henry left the Tennessee Titans to join the Ravens.
Whatever Henry’s doing is working, as the future Hall of Famer has shattered preconceived notions about when a running back’s prime ends.
In 2024, his age-30 season, Henry led the NFL with 16 touchdowns and 1,921 yards on 325 rushing attempts. Last season, Henry rushed 307 times for 1,595 yards and 16 touchdowns.
The only thing left for Henry to check off is winning a Super Bowl ring, which is why he came to Baltimore. The Ravens stumbled to an 8-9 record and missed the playoffs last season, largely due to multiple injuries suffered by quarterback Lamar Jackson, but expectations haven’t softened. It’s Super Bowl or bust in 2026, even with first-year head coach Jesse Minter at the helm.
