Aliyah Boston Injury Update: Indiana Fever Reveal Official Status for Portland Game
Aliyah Boston, who is averaging 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 block this 2026, missed her first game of the WNBA season on Sunday against the Seattle Storm.
Boston was ruled out of the contest due to a lower leg injury she sustained in the Fever's prior showdown against the Washington Mystics. The All-Star center left the game with 2:01 remaining in the third quarter and never returned.
Naturally, there were concerns about Boston's availability for the Fever's meeting with the Portland Fire on Wednesday. After all, she also suffered a similar health setback during her Unrivaled stint in the offseason, which caused her to miss the FIBA Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament with Team USA.
Aliyah Boston Injury Update: Is Fever Star Playing Against Fire?
The good news for the Fever is that Boston said during Tuesday's practice that she's "feeling great" and that "everything's great." However, she did note that her setback is a continuation of her nagging lower leg injury, which she will have to manage as the season progresses.
As for her status for their game against the Fire, Boston is officially set to return and play. Indiana didn't report any injuries, meaning Boston is available to play.

Indiana didn't report any injuries.
The Fever are 2-2 on the season so far, having lost to the Dallas Wings and Washington Mystics. Their only wins came against the Los Angeles Sparks and Seattle Storm.
Defense has been the Fever's biggest problem so far, as they have allowed their opponents to score more than 100 points in their two losses. That being said, Boston's presence will certainly be a huge boost in helping Indiana get a positive record.
