Dodgers' Two-Time World Series Champion Named 'Untouchable' Trade Piece

The Los Angeles Dodgers are striving to win their third straight World Series. They've gotten off to a hot start in the 2026 MLB season. They are 29-19 and in second place in the National League West, just half a game behind the San Diego Padres. However, they can recapture the lead with matchups against the Padres on Tuesday and Wednesday.

With the best odds (+220) to win the World Series, according to DraftKings, Los Angeles is expected to be a buyer at the Aug. 3 trade deadline. Despite having one of MLB's most talented rosters, the Dodgers could benefit from a few upgrades.

However, to bring talent in, the Dodgers must be willing to give some up in return. While they have a handful of young players to shop, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter listed outfielder Andy Pages in an article naming every team's "most untouchable trade chip."

"So much of the Dodgers high-profile core is locked up long-term that the list of candidates to consider is short," Reuter wrote. "However, they do still have a pair of untouchable young pieces in Pages and right-hander Emmet Sheehan... Pages has been arguably the team's best hitter in a lineup loaded with eight-figure salaries."

Pages is in his third year with the Dodgers and played over 100 games in each of the team's World Series-winning seasons. After finishing with a .774 OPS in 2025, he is beginning to break out.

The 25-year-old has appeared in all 48 games in 2026, accumulating 177 at-bats, 53 hits, 10 home runs, 41 RBIs, 27 runs scored and six stolen bases. With a .865 OPS, Pages is establishing himself as a true threat in the lineup.

Along with strong production, he is arbitration eligible for the first time in 2027 and will be under team control through 2030. With the deadline months away, the Dodgers must decide if Pages is a name to use in trade discussions.
