Steelers' Michael Pittman Jr. Reacts to Being Teammates With Aaron Rodgers
The Pittsburgh Steelers welcomed back veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Monday after he arrived at the team facility around 7 a.m. ET and officially signed his contract for the upcoming season, following months of retirement speculation.
Rodgers led Pittsburgh to the postseason in his first year with the organization last season, and with newly hired head coach Mike McCarthy - who coached Rodgers for 13 seasons with the Green Bay Packers - it seemed fitting for the veteran quarterback to return for at least one more run.
Pittsburgh also made several notable moves this offseason, including acquiring wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., who spent the previous six seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, recording 485 receptions, 5,254 yards, and 25 touchdowns during that stretch.
Pittman reacted to Rodgers' arrival on Monday during OTAs and shared what it was like becoming teammates with a quarterback of his caliber.
"He made a couple of great throws," Pittman said Monday, via SteelersNow.com's Alan Saunders. "I was like wow, I'm really playing with Aaron."

The biggest struggle for Rodgers and the Steelers offense last season was the lack of production at wide receiver outside of DK Metcalf.
Pittsburgh did not have a single player eclipse 900 receiving yards, with Metcalf leading the team with 850 yards across 15 games. Adding Pittman gives the Steelers an immediate No. 2 option and addresses what was arguably their biggest offseason need, especially considering they acquired him for just a sixth-round pick.
Last season with the Colts, Pittman recorded 80 receptions for 784 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 9.8 yards per catch.
