Why Is Christian Pulisic Not Playing Tonight for AC Milan vs Genoa?

AC Milan travel to face Genoa tonight in Serie A as they continue their push for a stronger finish in the league table.

Milan has struggled for consistency during the final weeks of the season and are still fighting for a Champions League spot heading into the final matches of the campaign.

The team has also been dealing with injury problems in recent weeks, especially in attack. Several important players have missed time, making it difficult for Milan to build consistency late in the season.

Placed 4th with 67 points, Massimiliano Allegri's side desperately needs a win to secure a Champions League spot amidst intense pressure from AS Roma and Como.

Genoa, meanwhile, are in 14th place and have collected 41 points this season. They have been tough to beat at home and have picked up important results against strong teams during the second half of the season.

Daniele De Rossi's squad has already guaranteed top-flight safety and plays with zero relegation pressure.

Latest Injury Update on Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic is not playing tonight against Genoa because he did not recover in time from his injury.

The AC Milan forward missed the club's previous match against Atalanta with a glute strain, and although there were reports he could return for the Genoa game, he hasn't been included in the squad raising concerns for both Milan and USMNT fans ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Although the USMNT star is yet to find the back of the net this year for Milan he enjoyed an explosive start to the season and has scored10 goals and provided 3 assists across 32 appearances in all club competitions.

Apart from Pulisic, the Rossoneri face heavy limitations today as Rafael Leão, Pervis Estupiñán, and Alexis Saelemaekers are all serving suspensions. Luka Modrić also starts on the bench following a facial fracture.
