FA Cup Final Prize Money Breakdown: How Much Will Manchester City and Chelsea Get?

Manchester City added another major trophy to their collection after beating Chelsea FC 1-0 in the 2026 FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Antoine Semenyo scored the only goal of the match in the second half as Pep Guardiola's side secured victory against Calum McFarlane's men.

The win marked Guardiola's third FA Cup triumph as Manchester City manager and continued the club's strong record in domestic cup competitions.

For Chelsea, it was another disappointing FA Cup final defeat, while Manchester City lifted the trophy again after losing last year's final to Crystal Palace.

How Much do FA Cup Winners Earn?

Winning the FA Cup brings not only a major trophy but also valuable prize money at every stage of the competition.

According to the Football Association's official prize fund for the 2025-26 season, Manchester City will receive around $2.8 million for winning the FA Cup final. Chelsea, as runners-up, will earn about $1.4 million.

That amount is added to the prize money both clubs already earned during earlier rounds of the competition.

Since Premier League teams entered the tournament in the third round, Manchester City collected extra payments for every stage.

The club earned around $160,000 for the third round, $170,000 for the fourth round, $320,000 for the fifth round, $640,000 for the quarter-finals, and about $1.4 million for winning the semi-final.

With the final included, Manchester City's total FA Cup prize money for the season is more than $5.5 million.

Chelsea also earned a significant amount during their run to the final. Along with earlier round payments, the club will receive the $1.4 million runners-up prize after the defeat at Wembley.
