Final Injury Report for Aces-Sun: Will Aaliyah Edwards, Brittney Griner Play?

The Connecticut Sun are at home on Friday night as they host the Las Vegas Aces in an interconference matchup.

Connecticut enters Friday's game with a 0-3 record after losing at home to Las Vegas on Wednesday night.

In Wednesday's loss to the Aces, Aneesah Morrow led the way for the Sun as she recorded 16 points and 11 rebounds off the bench while Olivia Nelson-Ododa added 14 points, six rebounds and three assists of her own.

Now Connecticut will try to bounce back and grab their first victory of the season on Friday as they face off against the Aces once again in a tough home matchup.

On the other side, Las Vegas enters Friday's contest with a 2-1 record after defeating the Sun on the road in dominant fashion on Wednesday night.

Chennedy Carter led the way for the Aces in Wednesday's victory as she ended the game with 27 points, eight rebounds and four assists off the bench while A'ja Wilson recorded 22 points and 11 rebounds.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Friday night's matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Aces Injury Report: Will Dana Evans Play?

For the Aces, they have two players listed on their injury report for Friday, including guard Dana Evans.

Las Vegas has ruled out Evans due to a left leg injury as she will miss her fourth consecutive contest to begin the season and there is still no timetable for her return.

The Aces have also ruled out Janiah Barker due to a concussion that she suffered in the preseason as she will also miss her fourth straight game.

On the other side, the Sun have two players listed on their injury report, though Brittney Griner and Aaliyah Edwards are not among them.

Of course, Griner missed Wednesday's game due to a foot injury but she is off the injury report and will return on Friday.

Edwards is also off the injury report after missing the first three games of the season due to a left thigh injury as she will make her season debut on Friday against the Aces.

Connecticut has listed Nelson-Ododa as questionable due to a right ankle injury and she is in danger of missing her first game of the season, though she was able to play through the injury on Wednesday.

The Sun have ruled out Laila Lacan as she remains away from the team due to overseas obligations.
