NFL Fans Loving Chiefs vs. Bills Thanksgiving Night Matchup
The NFL's full schedule for the 2026 season won't be released until Thursday night, but we already know who'll square off on Thanksgiving night.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz is reporting that this year's Thanksgiving schedule will wrap up with the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Buffalo Bills in what could be an AFC playoff preview. That's right, we'll get to see Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes in the prime-time slot.
This has to be a huge win for NBC, which will televise this highly-anticipated showdown between the NFL's two best quarterbacks.
As you'd imagine, the NFL world is amped up for this Thanksgiving matchup.
"This is pretty sweet, not going to lie," one fan said. "Thanksgiving primetime. Allen vs. Mahomes."
"Not gonna lie, Chiefs @ Bills on Thanksgiving night is genius by the NFL," a second fan replied. "I'll make my plate at 430 pm and be ready for this after with some pie & wine. Let's go."
"Kinda surprised they'd burn a game that's great any week in a slot where any reasonably good game would draw numbers," a social media user wrote. "League trying to shoot the moon."
"So I'm just not leaving my tv all day is what your saying," another fan commented.
Bills vs. Chiefs is an exceptional rivalry.
During the 2020 season, the Chiefs defeated the Bills in the AFC Championship Game. One year later, Kansas City faced Buffalo in the divisional round of the playoffs. Despite trailing by a field goal with 13 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Mahomes drove the ball 44 yards downfield and got the job done. He then tossed a game-winning touchdown to Travis Kelce in overtime.
The Bills have won all but one regular-season meeting with the Chiefs in the 2020s. At the end of the day though, they're 0-4 against them in the playoffs.
We can't wait to see the Bills and Chiefs add another chapter to their rivalry on Thanksgiving night.
