Charles Barkley Has Responded To Draymond Green's Insulting Behavior

NBA legend Charles Barkley isn't afraid to go toe-to-toe with Draymond Green, that's for sure.

Since the Golden State Warriors missed the playoffs this year, Green was invited onto "Inside the NBA" this Wednesday. During ESPN's pregame coverage, Barkley talked about Golden State's future.

"It's over for the Warriors. No disrespect. It ends for every old team," Barkley told Green. "You had your run; you get old; you let Klay go. You and Steph are on the backside of your careers; it just passed you by."

Green responded by insulting the later stages of Barkley's career.

"Yeah, I mean, I think the goal is just to not look like you in the Houston Rockets uniform," Green told Barkley.

While on "The Dan Patrick Show" this Friday, Barkley was asked about Green's insults. He almost took the high road but left some room for one last jab at the Warriors.

"He  took a shot at me, but I don't get offended. I've said things about other guys. They've took personal shots at me," Barkley told Dan Patrick. "The Warriors have been in the play-in four straight years. They've been irrelevant. I know he doesn't want to say it. If Golden State was relevant, he wouldn't be in the studio with me."

Barkley was later asked about this situation again during an interview with Arizona Sports 98.7 this Friday. He made a comment that's bound to stir up a debate.

"I never punch down," Barkley said. "Draymond's a good player, we're not on the same level."

Who had the better career?

Green has been a star in his role with the Warriors, averaging 8.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game in his career. The four-time NBA champion has never really had a well-rounded offensive game, but he doesn't need to considering he's a former Defensive Player of the Year.

Barkley, on the other hand, was the driving force for the Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns during the prime of his career. The 11-time All-Star and former MVP averaged 22.1 points and 11.7 rebounds per game.

At the end of the day, Green can't match what Barkley accomplished on an individual level but he's got him beat in the rings department.
