Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft: Denzel Boston (Pick 1.09)

The best teams in dynasty fantasy football work with a luxury in hand. They can play at higher risk and higher reward come draft season. With a safer lineup in place, the only logical thing to do is shoot for the stars. Which players can you draft that can become a star, high-usage player on their team? Those answers shall be the players targeted to draft. If you draft 9th in a rookie-only draft, target these 4 players.

1.9 - Denzel Boston

The Browns' entire wide receiver room is there for the taking. Jerry Jeudy may enter as the WR1, but both Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion have a chance to challenge him. The upside play here is Boston, a high-second-round pick, who could emerge as the team's WR2 and perhaps even develop into its WR1. He also offers a different skill set than Jeudy and Concepcion, as Boston is more of a vertical threat. He could become a very capable WR2 in fantasy football and a viable option for years to come.

2.9 - Emmett Johnson

It is never a bad idea to have an Andy Reid running back. It is even better that Eric Bieniemy is back as the Chiefs' offensive coordinator. The team will put a premium on their run game, as they have done for years. While Kenneth Walker III will command most of the work, Johnson has very high upside, as he will be among the best running back handcuffs in fantasy football.

3.9 - Max Klare

Klare has plenty of competition, but he has the talent to overcome it. The Rams drafted him in the second round for a reason: they plan to feature the tight end position again in 2026. Klare has a real chance to rise above the rest of the group, including Colby Parkinson, Tyler Higbee, and Terrance Ferguson. Even if his impact is not immediate, Klare should carry tremendous long-term value in a tight-end-heavy offense that is unlikely to undergo a coaching change for the worse.

4.9 - Bryce Lance

Lance is currently listed as a backup wide receiver on the Saints' depth chart, but he could easily push DeVaughn Vele for the WR2 job. Vele was acquired in 2025, but he failed to produce significant results. Lance, a fourth-round pick, offers a higher ceiling and is well worth the gamble. Kellen Moore and Tyler Shough worked impressive magic in Year 1, and this offense could be on the verge of a major rise.
