Draymond Green Secures TV Job for NBA Playoffs: Report

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is returning to the “Inside the NBA” studio for the 2026 NBA playoffs.

Green will make three appearances as a guest analyst for the show, according to Austin Karp of the Sports Business Journal. His first appearance will be on Wednesday, filling in for Kenny Smith alongside Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley.

Wednesday’s NBA schedule features Game 2 action for the New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers and the San Antonio Spurs vs. Minnesota Timberwolves.

Green will make two additional appearances throughout the postseason, including one during the conference finals.

Green has served as a guest analyst for “Inside the NBA” since his first appearance during the 2021 playoffs. He signed a formal multi-year deal with Turner Sports in 2022, joining the show for regular-season coverage while still an active player for the Warriors.

He worked on NBA All-Star Game coverage in 2023, covered the Western Conference Finals in 2024 and served as a guest analyst for two games during last year’s Eastern Conference Finals.

Green, who hosts “The Dramond Green Show” podcast, is clearly setting himself up for a full-time broadcasting career once he retires from the NBA. The 36-year-old veteran is entering the final season of his four-year contract with the Warriors in 2026-27.

Green hopes to sign a contract extension with Golden State.

"Rich [Paul] and I discussed it a couple months ago briefly," Green said of his upcoming player option last month. "We haven't talked much about it because we don't deal with those things until the offseason. But I think in an ideal world, and again, this is me talking without me talking to my representation so Rich will probably kill me. But in an ideal world, I think the best path would be to decline and extend. If I had it my way, that would be the best path forward."
