LeBron James Jokes Bronny James and NFL Star Are ‘Twins' After Lakers' Win

There have been some wild and cool interactions involving NBA players and celebrity fans during the postseason, including Friday night’s viral moment with LeBron James.

The Los Angeles Lakers finished off the Rockets in Houston, winning 98-78 behind 28 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds from King James. It was clear LeBron was ready to end this series and move on to the next one, based on his exerting his dominance to make a statement.

And with LeBron often running full speed ahead towards the crowd after plays to the basket, that caused an interaction between the NBA and NFL worlds. LeBron crashed into the front row behind the basket, and when he got up, he was near Houston Texans star Will Anderson Jr., possibly attending the game in support of the home team.

Anderson Jr. offered LeBron a hand and helped him up from the court, with King James all smiles. He dapped Anderson Jr. and briefly hugged the NFL star in a special interaction before heading back out on the court.

“The moment was pretty cool. I just said, ‘It was good to see him.’ That’s my fourth child,” LeBron told reporters in the locker room post-game.

“Him and Bronny are twins and don’t nobody know it. Me and Savannah been trying to keep it under wraps a long time,” he joked, adding, “No disrespect to his parents.”

LeBron called Anderson Jr. an “unbelievable football player” and “deserving of everything he’s got.” That likely includes the three-year, $150 million contract extension that Anderson Jr. just made headlines with, which made him the highest-paid non-quarterback player in the NFL.

Will Anderson Jr. also shared a clip of him helping LeBron up on his Instagram Story, referring to King James as “a freaking legend.”

Meanwhile, Bronny and Anderson Jr. might look alike, but that’s where those comparisons stop. While Bronny is still trying to establish himself as a respectable NBA player under his dad’s mentorship, Anderson Jr. has done quite a bit since entering the NFL in 2023.

He’s won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and is a two-time NFL Pro Bowl selection with the Texans. They’re also a team that’s been contending in the postseason thanks to a stellar defense and quarterback CJ Stroud, among other components.
