CM Punk Facing Second Accusation From WWE Fan

WWE superstar CM Punk is facing a second claim that there was an incident in Las Vegas involving fan interactions. However, this one resulted in a 9-1-1 call.

On Friday, TMZ shared an audio recording of a fan making a 9-1-1 call in Spanish, claiming that Punk shoved him and "violently assaulted" him when he tried to get close to him.

"I was here waiting for the WWE superstars and I was trying to get a picture and maybe an autograph from them. Without ill intentions I just got close to them. And then when I got close, the star CM Punk pushes me and chops me from my chest… Inside the lobby of MGM Hotel here in Las Vegas… His face was red and his eyesight was full of anger," the caller said in Spanish, via a translation from The Takedown on SI.

Per TMZ, officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Departments responded to the disturbance and spoke to all of the involved parties. No report was filed and Punk was later allowed to leave.

The report comes just over a week after video showed Punk smacking away the phone of a fan who was reportedly trying to get too close to him and his friend Bayley and his wife AJ Lee.

The truth?

WWE fans have widely defended Punk for the phone smacking the phone away from a fan. Many have pointed out that the fan was trying to get AJ to take a picture with him and wouldn't take no for an answer. They've called for fans to stop harassing the superstars like that:

"The fan asked AJ if he could take a picture with her, and she said no, but he still tried to get one in anyway. Punk did what he was supposed to do Do better TMZ!" one fan wrote on X.

"Stop harassing the superstars. Let them be. Also, stop filming them. They want privacy too," wrote another.

"Recording a dudes wife and her best friend in what looks like lobby of a hotel. Punk ain't in the wrong," a third wrote.

"Filming people is rude!! They are people too... Anyone would get mad... People have their phone all the time and film 24-7 it's annoying. I don't blame him."

"If this outrages you, maybe do a little research into what Punk has said 8000x about stalking him (and his wife in the situation) in hotels."

That said, the April 20 incident isn't believed to be the same one that the 9-1-1 call is about. That was clearly just a bad day in general for the WWE superstar.
