Jalen Hurts Doubts Are Back: NFC East QB Tier List
How long does a Lombardi Trophy protect you from criticism?
Well, in Jalen Hurts’ case, it lasted about five months.
The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl only two years ago, but for some fans, that might as well be a millennium ago.
Do I agree, though?
Here is my current tier list of signal-callers in the always polarizing NFC East.

1. Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles)
I’m not jumping off the Hurts train just yet.
With A.J. Brown most likely gone and a new offensive coordinator in town, this should be a less toxic season for the offensive side of the Eagles this upcoming campaign.
Hurts often shows up in the biggest moments, and with all eyes on him this season, I expect him to deliver.
2. Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys)
Prescott and Hurts are effectively tied for me in terms of their current level, but I overall have more trust in the Eagles to put their franchise QB in a better position to succeed than the Cowboys.
It’s been 10 years since Prescott got drafted by the Cowboys, and he’s still searching for his NFC title game.
3. Jayden Daniels (Washington Commanders)
If you asked Commanders fans a year ago, you’d be a fool for putting Daniels anywhere but at the top spot.
After a marvelous rookie season, Daniels was hit with a historic sophomore slump, plagued with injuries and overall dire play from Washington’s entire offseason.
Hopefully, his junior season is closer to his first year than his second.
4. Jaxson Dart (New York Giants)
My only hope for Dart this season is that he doesn’t injure himself diving for an extra yard in Week 1 in the second quarter.
There’s a lot to like about Dart, and the Giants’ offense should be much-improved with Malik Nabers back, and I want to see the Rebel take a next step forward in his development as a signal-caller the Giants can rely on.
