Titans Lose Key Member of Front Office Just Days After NFL Draft
Just days after the 2026 NFL draft ended, the Tennessee Titans saw a key member of their front office resign.
President of football operations Chad Brinker, who had been with the team since 2023, announced on social media he was leaving the team.
"It has been an honor to serve as President of Football Operations of the Tennessee Titans," Brinker said in a statement. "Over the years, I've understood and embraced my role as the leader of the football strategy, but as I’ve spent less time in personnel, I have a renewed conviction that it is time to return to what I love and move towards my next chapter. I’m grateful for Amy (Adams Strunk's) understanding in my decision, and for allowing me to pursue other opportunities."
Brinker started out as an assistant general manager, brought in to work with then-first-time GM Ran Carthon.
The division of power became confusing for Titans fans, and when Carthon was fired after the 2024 season and replaced with former Kansas City Chiefs assistant GM Mike Borgonzi, Brinker was promoted to president of football ops and had less say in the Titans' personnel.
Brinker's resignation shouldn't come as a surprise to many given the wild amount of turnover the Titans have experienced since 2022. The madness of the Titans' last five years was perfectly encapsulated by Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports.
"Since Dec. 2022, the Titans have fired (GM) Jon Robinson, hired (GM) Ran Carthon, fired (head coach) Mike Vrabel, hired (head coach) Brian Callahan, fired Carthon, promoted Chad Brinker, hired (GM) Mike Borgonzi, fired Callahan, hired (head coach) Robert Saleh and seen Brinker resign," Jones tweeted.
