NBA Recognizes Celtics' Brad Stevens With Major Honor

Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens is the 2025-26 NBA Basketball Executive of the Year, the league announced on Tuesday.

This is the second time Stevens has been recognized with the coveted front-office award, winning it for the first time in 2023-24. The 49-year-old executive is the 12th person in NBA history to win the award on multiple occasions.

Stevens, the Celtics’ former head coach, took over as Boston’s president of basketball operations in 2021. Since then, the historic franchise has made two trips to the NBA Finals - including the Celtics’ championship victory over the Dallas Mavericks in 2024.

The Celtics finished the 2025-26 regular season as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, notching a 56-26 record. The team has recorded at least 50 wins in each season since Stevens took over as president of basketball operations.

Stevens was named NBA Basketball Executive of the Year by a decisive margin. NBA voters favored him over Atlanta Hawks general manager Onsi Saleh and Detroit Pistons president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon.

The Celtics currently lead the No. 7 seed Philadelphia 76ers 3-1 in their first-round playoff series. Boston will look to close out the visiting 76ers in a Game 5 matchup at TD Garden on Tuesday night.

Game 5 will tipoff at 7 p.m. ET.
