Ravens Sign New Quarterback After Diego Pavia Announcement
Heisman Trophy runner-up Diego Pavia didn’t hear his name called during the 2026 NFL draft, but accepted an invitation to the Baltimore Ravens mini camp soon there after.
Pavia has the interest of several NFL teams, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers control his rights in the Canadian Football League.
"I'm sure that he's disappointed that he didn't get drafted, of course," Schefter said this week. "The Ravens minicamp is this weekend, but there are other teams that have their minicamps the next weekend. There are other teams that wanna bring him in if the Ravens don't sign him. … So he's got a couple of invitations and we'll see where he winds up on a roster."

While the Ravens invited Pavia to minicamp, he’s not the only quarterback to receive interest from the team.
According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Ravens are signing former UConn quarterback Joey Fagnano to a three-year deal.
Fagnano, who is 25, started his college football career at Maine where he played for four seasons before eventually transferring to UConn where he played the final three season of his career.
In the final year of his career, the quarterback completed 69% of his passes for 3,448 yards with 28 touchdowns and just one interception. He also racked up 131 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.
