Former NFL Kicker Trashes 'Dangerous' Jimmy Kimmel

A former NFL kicker is calling out a "dangerous" rhetoric from Jimmy Kimmel.

Kimmel, the late-night TV host for ABC, mocked the White House Correspondents' Dinner, days before the actual event was broken up by a shooting attempt. Kimmel joked about Melania Trump and her relationship with President Trump.

"Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow," Kimmel said in a parody of the event.

He added: "Oh, by the way, Melania, this is Donald. Donald, this is Melania."

Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Kimmel received some blowback, including from First Lady Melania Trump.

"Kimmel's hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn't comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. People like Kimmel shouldn't have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough.  It is time for ABC to take a stand.  How many times will ABC's leadership enable Kimmel's atrocious behavior at the expense of our community," she wrote.

A former NFL kicker is joining in, too.

Former NFL kicker Jay Feely calls out Kimmel, others

Feely, 49, played in the NFL from 2001-14. He made 332 field goals during his career.

Now, he's pursuing a career in politics. He just called out Kimmel on social media.

"The dangerous rhetoric of the left must end. 3 assassination attempts on our President, fueled by calls for violence by Democrat leaders. They have constantly compared the President to Hitler, called him "a threat to democracy," and worse - this rhetoric has dire consequences," he wrote on X.

Kimmel, meanwhile, has not addressed the blowback to his parody video.
