Nuggets Announce Aaron Gordon Injury Update for Game 5

Denver Nuggets star Aaron Gordon was limited to 23 minutes in Game 4 against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. The 30-year-old headed to the locker room in the third quarter due to a calf injury, but was eventually able to return.

It is important to note, however, that Gordon has been dealing with this issue throughout the series. In fact, he was forced to sit out Game 3 because of tightness in his left calf.

Gordon finished with nine points, one rebound and one block in Game 4. The Nuggets struggled on the road. They ultimately lost 112-96, marking their third straight defeat in the series.

Denver enters Game 5 on Monday down 3-1 in the series and with their season on the line.

Unfortunately for the Nuggets, they could be without Gordon again for Monday's do-or-die matchup. The team has submitted its injury report for Game 5, and the 6-foot-8 forward is back on it.

The Nuggets announced that Gordon is officially questionable to play on Monday against the Timberwolves. He is still dealing with tightness in his left calf and could be forced to miss his second game in this series.

Minnesota is also dealing with key injuries heading into Game 5. They lost both Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo in Game 4. Edwards has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left knee and is expected to miss multiple weeks. On the other hand, it's a season-ending Achilles injury for DiVincenzo.

As for Gordon's final playing status for Game 5, the Nuggets' decision will likely come closer to game time. Denver will host Monday's contest at Ball Arena, with tipoff scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET.
