Bronny James Reacts to Catching Alley-Oop From LeBron James Against Rockets

The Los Angeles Lakers overcame a six-point deficit with less than a minute remaining Friday night to beat the Houston Rockets 112–108, taking a commanding 3–0 series lead.

Just before the end of regulation, with the Lakers trailing by three, LeBron James forced a turnover from Rockets guard Reed Sheppard, got the ball back on a pass from Luke Kennard, and knocked down a game-tying three to send it to overtime.

James finished with 29 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists, while his son, Bronny James, made his first impact of the postseason, scoring five quick points in the second quarter in nine minutes of action.

In a matter of seconds, Bronny hit a three-pointer and then capped it with an alley-oop layup from his father - a sequence that quickly went viral.

After the game, Bronny reflected on the sequence with his father and explained how it unfolded, saying the two made eye contact before the play developed and that he feels confident finishing plays when the ball goes up.

"I'm not sure when was the last time I got an oop from him. Probably in training camp last year, maybe this year. It was just one of those things… he saw me and saw that I was making eye contact with him, so he threw it up and I can always go get it," Bronny said postgame.

LeBron has been vocal about what it means to share the court with his son and how surreal the experience has been, even calling it the greatest moment of his career on multiple occasions.

Beyond the personal milestone, he also emphasized the importance of using postseason minutes to build confidence - not just for Bronny, but for young players across the league.

"Young players… the amount of confidence that a young kid in our league can get from a postseason game… you would never get nervous from a regular season moment ever again when you play meaningful postseason games in postseason minutes, and he's done that, and I think that's just pretty cool for his career, for his confidence. I mean [expletive], I've done enough."
