Ja Morant Leaks Nike Ja 4: First Look at the New Basketball Shoe

Ja Morant has quietly built one of the best performance sneaker lines in basketball over the last few years. Most hoopers still lean toward Kobes-and for good reason, since the Kobe 4 through 6 models have had the league in a chokehold-but Ja's line is making a serious case as one of the top options on the market. Between comfort, traction, and lightweight feel, the Ja sneakers have become a favorite for guards who rely on speed and movement.

Personally, I usually hoop in KD models or the Freak 4s, but recently I grabbed a pair of Ja 3s and immediately understood the hype. They're comfortable, responsive, and on top of that, Ja and Nike rarely miss when it comes to colorways, which only adds to the appeal.

For a review of the most recent Ja model, I have linked a performance review by WearTesters below.

Ja Morant Leaks New Ja 4 Model

Today, Morant personally took to X and Instagram to show off his new kicks with multiple colorways that he and Nike have been cooking up as of late.

I honestly like the look and shape of the shoe, but early reactions were strong, and honestly, I see why. The shape of the shoe gives off a little PG 2.5 energy, but with Ja's own style and personality built into it.

You don't often see a signature line go four models deep without a miss, but Ja Morant is putting together one of the stronger runs in Nike Basketball right now. Each model has improved while still keeping that same fast, low-to-the-ground identity that hoopers like.

What to Expect with the New Nike Ja 4s

Ja Morant and Nike have done a solid job rolling out each new model, so expect a major push for the Ja 4 in the coming months. Based on previous launches, it wouldn't be surprising to see one of the colorways shown today release by late July or early August.

Performance-wise, expect the Ja 4 to continue targeting guards and players who need quick cuts, lightweight support, and reliable traction. If Nike keeps the comfort level where the Ja 3 had it, this could be another strong performer.

As someone who's enjoyed hooping in the Ja line, I'm definitely looking forward to trying these once they drop. The colorways look clean, the silhouette looks promising, and if history tells us anything, Ja and Nike usually deliver.
