Eagles select wide receiver Makai Lemon at No. 20 after 2026 NFL draft trade with Cowboys

PHILADELPHIA - How many more flares will the Eagles throw in the air to signal A.J. Brown's eventual departure?

They threw another Thursday night.

The Eagles traded two fourth-round picks to arch rival Dallas to move three spots ahead and select USC wide receiver Makai Lemon.

They also acquired a seventh-round pick in the process.

Drafting Lemon comes days after an ESPN report that Brown's trade to the New England Patriots is "tracking to happen" after June 1.

Lemon, a 5-foot-11, 195-pound junior, had 79 catches for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns last season at USC.

The Eagles in recent weeks have loaded their wide receiver corps with an infusion of talent. In addition to drafting Lemon, they also added Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore in free agency and traded with Green Bay for Dontayvion Wicks, who they promptly extended.
