Bills Could Steal One of 2026 NFL Draft's Biggest Risers
The Buffalo Bills bolstered their wide receiver corps weeks ago when the traded their 2026 second-round pick to the Chicago bears for former 1,000-yard WR DJ Moore.
The move gives quarterback Josh Allen a legitimate WR1, in addition to the solid supporting cast of other wideouts including Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Joshua Palmer.
But just because they added one receiver already, that doesn't mean they wouldn't add another one in the 2026 NFL draft. ESPN draft expert Matt Miller believes that's exactly what they'll do, and he has Buffalo grabbing Texas A&M wideout KC Concepcion with the 26th overall pick.
"With DJ Moore now in the fold and no second-round pick, it might seem like overkill for the Bills to add another receiver at this point," Miller wrote. "That was my original thought, but the feedback I received throughout the past two weeks was to not rule out Concepcion.
"'The Bills have guys, but they don’t have a guy that really scares a defense. [Concepcion would] be DJ Moore in two years,' said a rival AFC East coach I spoke to about the fit. Sources noted that the Bills have also done considerable work on the safety class and could add one here or with their Round 3 pick."
Concepcion began the year projected as a Day 2 pick.
However, a breakout season in which he totaled 61 receptions, a career-high 919 yards, and nine touchdowns, did wonders for his draft stock. And in recent weeks, he's seen his stock reach an all-time high.
"Several execs and coaches consulted by ESPN have Concepcion as WR3 in the process," Fowler stated. "He’s considered a riser."
Being tabbed as the WR3 in a class that also features Jordyn Tyson, Carnell Tate, and Makai Lemon is high praise for a player who many thought could come back for another year at Texas A&M just a few months ago.
